As a beginner, it is always best to start with nitro RC cars that are simple. Therefore, while you are choosing the car you should ensure that the receiver and motor are easy to reach so that the spark plug will easily ignite, in addition to allowing the changing of the batteries without having to dismantle the entire car. Another thing to consider is the size of the fuel tank opening.
In general, the opening should be large enough so you can easily fill the tank. Furthermore, opt for cars with less features, meaning the type that do not have four-wheel drive in order to minimize the amount of confusion with driving. Ultimately, one of the first things to worry about as a beginner is becoming familiar with the driving of the nitro RC cars. Therefore, opt for vehicles that have good suspension, along with larger tires so that you don't have to spend your time driving on your side.
Lastly, people just starting within the world of nitro RC cars should look for those with smaller engines so it can't accelerate over 20 mph. Otherwise, you may find it a lot harder to become accustomed to the controls and with handling the vehicle. Always keep in mind how nitro cars are not made for those who are under the age of 12 without the proper adult supervision. Care and caution are necessary at all times, due to the potential for them to cause injury when not used properly.
